Reporting to the Manager, Central Chemistry, this position is responsible for monitoring and analyzing plant information using a Laboratory Management System (LIMS) and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify trends, provide troubleshooting solutions, and identify and champion opportunities to improve system performance.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESLead the implementation of the chemistry Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software program (eg. LabWare), including configuration and set-up, acceptance testing, and developing procedures.Prepare system health reports and action plans to sustain and improve system performance, identify system risks, and support improvement initiatives and modifications.Monitor system performance by analyzing plant information, identifying trends, providing troubleshooting solutions to the station,



and recommending improvements to enhance system health.Develop and support the execution of projects in compliance with applicable industry regulations and standards.Maintain documented processes and procedures to improve operating methods and support enhancements to systems.Work with a multi-disciplined team of engineering and technical specialists to support the operation of various mechanical and electrical systems; coordinate the clarification of specification requirements and arrange for necessary changes and/or coordinate technical work as required in multiple major work areas.Maintain and update operating and other specified department/divisional procedures.Provide technical evaluations and advice, solve problems, and coordinate technical work as required, in support of the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of facilities.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or another chemistry-related discipline (eg. Environmental Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry) is required; Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.Minimum two (2) years’ experience in chemistry-related roles supporting process or plant chemistry systems (eg. steam cycles, cooling water, condensate/feedwater chemistry, wastewater systems) is required; experience in thenuclear environment is preferred.Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
