Permanent Full TimeThe Individual Wealth Strategy Team is a critical function within Canada Life. We support the Individual Wealth business to think 5-10 years ahead, and ensure our business is future-proofed – pivoting with rapidly evolving trends in demographics, regulation, technology, and shifting customer and advisor needs. The team will heavily engage with senior leaders in the Individual Wealth business and across the organization.ResponsibilitiesProvide analytical support for a range of strategic initiatives and projects related to :Supporting problem solving / business casing for strategic opportunitiesDeveloping and updating financial models for M&A or partnership opportunitiesConducting market scans and competitor insights from industry associations, publications, and research reports Interview internal stakeholders to collect information on different lines of business, competitive threats, market trends, and internal operationsAnalyze customer and advisor level data to understand market size, trends and segmentationIndependently support deliverables for workstreams within a projectSupport and work closely with leadership in the development, management and implementation of medium and long-term strategic initiatives.Provide presentation, meeting, and strategy implementation support, including PowerPoint materialsParticipate in a broad range of strategy team and business team meetings to gather information, share insights and present findingsEnsure strategy translates to clear business plans, with measurable outcomes,
and communicate those with the involved departmentsPerform other related duties as assigned e.G., represent Individual Wealth business on cross-functional projects as required from time-to-timeQualifications3+ years of finance, management consulting, or corporate strategy experienceExperience with accounting/finance/planning/P&L roles highly preferred, with ability to do financial modelingAbility to use AI-powered tools to gather insights, analyze data, and support day to day strategy activitiesExperience independently managing workstreams and outputsUndergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferredSelf-starter with high motivational level, intellectual curiosity, and openness to learning and continuous developmentStrong business acumen, with demonstrated aptitude for strategic, analytical and critical thinkingExcellent analytical skills, including financial analysis, research and complex modelingExpert in Microsoft PowerPoint and ExcelThe base salary for this position is between $71,900 - $119,800 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.E. annual bonus, commission etc).
