9606 Capital is seeking a Project Finance & Tax Analyst with 1–3 years of professional experience. This early-career role offers hands-on responsibility across our real estate portfolio, with a focus on project finance, cost and expense management, and tax coordination.
What You'll Do
Project Finance & Cost Management
Build and maintain budgets for capital projects, renovations, repairs, and tenant improvements.
Track budgets, commitments, contracts, change orders, invoices, payments, and final project costs.
Analyze cost variances and provide management with explicit visibility into project performance.
Expense Management & Control
Analyze property expenses against budgets, contracts, and historical spending.
Identify unusual expenses, cost increases, billing discrepancies, and opportunities for savings.
Help improve controls around purchasing, approvals, invoicing, and expense management.
Tax
Maintain tax calendars and key deadlines across properties, investment entities, and funds.
Coordinate financial information and schedules with external CPAs and tax professionals.
Help ensure tax deliverables are accurate, organized, and completed on time.
Who We're Looking For
- 1–3 years of professional experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Economics, or another quantitative field.
- Strong analytical skills, Excel proficiency, attention to detail, and comfort working with financial data.
- Highly organized, intellectually curious,
and willing to investigate when something does not make sense.
- Prior real estate experience is helpful, but not required.
Your Manager & Career Development
You will report directly to Jingjing Zhang, Chief Investment Officer of 9606 Capital. Jingjing has 15 years of experience in alternative investments, including institutional and cross-border investing. Before 9606 Capital, she worked at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private-sector investment arm of the World Bank Group, where she led cross-border investment teams and executed more than $2.6 billion of investments.
She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and the CAIA designation.
She will personally manage this position and take direct responsibility for your professional development.
