Job Title: Manager – Walton ResidenceLocation: Vancouver, BCEmployment Status: Permanent, Full‑timePay: $40.64 per hour (salary negotiable with experience and qualifications; includes benefitsand pension plan).Job SummaryThe Manager oversees Walton Residence, ensuring all clients receive pertinent services and that the Society’s goals and philosophy are met. Duties include personnel management, payroll, finance oversight, program administration, health and safety compliance, and liaising with the community.ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operation of the site and its programs.Direct and supervise program delivery to meet client needs.Maintain a minimal barrier, open‑door service for adult men and women who are disenfranchised.Lead personnel management: hiring, training, discipline and appraisals.Handle payroll and support staff performance.Manage and control program finances, maintain and report statistics and services.Ensure all regulations, including health & safety, are met.Provide direct service to clients, oversee medication and comfort programs.Liaise with neighbourhood and service community, public, other agencies and professionals.Ensure compliance with all aspects of the health and safety program.Use a vehicle to travel between sites as required.Remain alert and attentive during working hours; sleeping during shifts is not permitted.Qualifications and CompetenceDegree or Diploma in Social Service,



Health or related field; clinical designation isan asset.Five years’ experience with health‑specific programming such as mental health, harm reduction, or trauma‑informed practices; clinical setting experience is an asset.Five years’ experience in the community social service sector.Minimum of three years supervisory experience in a unionized environment.Experience with scheduling, payroll, budgeting and human resources is an asset.Knowledge of income assistance, affordable housing, and health and trauma resources; experience managing program budgets and delivering reports.Robust collaborative approach to program delivery and development.Proven ability to lead and work with staff in a unionized environment.Solid time‑management skills to juggle multiple priorities.Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.Strong reporting, organization and computer skills.OFA 1 First Aid Certificate.Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector.Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification is an asset.Applications will be accepted until May 26, 2026, 5:00 pm.Lookout Housing and Health Society is committed to empowering people from diverse races, genders, ages, religions, identities and unique experiences.
