Project Manager – Marine Construction

Build Projects That Stand Out

Shoreline Pile Driving & Wharf Construction Ltd. is one of British Columbia’s leading marine construction contractors. We specialize in commercial waterfront infrastructure, marinas, strata developments, breakwaters, pile driving, and high-end residential waterfront projects.

We’re looking for an organized and motivated Project Manager with experience working with CCDC contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating people, solving construction challenges, and seeing projects through from planning to completion.

Marine construction experience is an asset, but it is not required. If you have managed commercial, civil, municipal, or other complex construction projects, we encourage you to apply.

What You’ll Do

- Manage commercial and marine construction projects from award through completion.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, procurement, and resource plans.
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, engineers, and equipment.
- Review and administer CCDC contracts, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contractual notices.
- Track project costs, productivity, commitments, forecasts, and profitability.
- Oversee progress billings, project updates, and monthly cost reports.
- Procure materials and subcontractors while monitoring pricing and lead times.
- Identify project risks and help develop practical solutions before they affect cost or schedule.
- Attend project meetings and maintain positive relationships with clients, owners, consultants, and engineers.
- Coordinate design information and ensure required drawings, decisions, and approvals are received on time.

- Maintain organized project records and ensure important documentation is completed.
- Support project closeout, including deficiencies, as-built drawings, manuals, and final documentation.
- Ensure projects meet Shoreline’s quality, safety, environmental, and contractual requirements.
- Work closely with estimating during project handover and provide lessons learned for future projects.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction project management experience, or a comparable combination of experience and education.
- Experience managing commercial, civil, municipal, industrial, or other multidisciplinary construction projects.
- Experience working with and administering CCDC contracts.
- Understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, progress billing, forecasting, change management, and project controls.
- Ability to review contracts, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable coordinating multiple contractors, suppliers, consultants, and project priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Experience with project management or scheduling software is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.

Experience That Would Be an Asset Experience with one or more of the following is beneficial,

but we do not expect applicants to have experience in every area:

- Municipal or public-sector construction
- Design-build projects
- Marine or waterfront construction
- Heavy civil construction
- Concrete or precast construction
- Steel fabrication
- Pile driving
- Bridges, boardwalks, marinas, or waterfront infrastructure
- Bonded construction projects
- Environmental construction requirements

What We Offer

- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Performance bonus opportunities.
- Extended health and dental benefits.
- Professional development and training opportunities.
- Support from an experienced estimating, operations, fabrication, and field team.
- Long-term career growth with a well-established, family-owned company.
- The opportunity to manage unique and recognizable waterfront projects throughout the Okanagan.
- A role where your experience, ideas, and problem-solving skills will have a meaningful impact.

Why Shoreline? At Shoreline, we build projects that last for generations. Our team values integrity, teamwork, quality workmanship, and finding practical solutions to challenging construction projects.

You’ll work alongside experienced professionals with extensive marine construction knowledge. We understand that the right candidate may not have worked in marine construction before, and our team will help you learn the marine-specific side of the business.

If you have solid construction project management experience and are familiar with CCDC contracts, we would be happy to hear from you—even if you do not meet every preferred qualification.
