Project Manager – Major Projects
Full time || British Columbia | Alberta | Saskatchewan
Industrial Construction | Structural Steel / Pre-Engineered Buildings
Remote with Regular Project Travel
We’re recruiting for an established construction company seeking an experienced Project Manager for industrial projects across Western Canada.
This role is for someone who has already managed complex construction work and is comfortable taking direct responsibility for project delivery.
The right person will have strong industrial construction experience, including direct responsibility for structural steel and/or pre-engineered building scopes.
You’ll manage projects from award through construction and closeout, with responsibility for budget, schedule, procurement, subcontractors, changes, client communication and field coordination.
What They’re Looking For
- Project Manager experience in industrial or heavy industrial construction
- Direct PM-level responsibility for structural steel and/or pre-engineered building scopes
- Experience working for a General Contractor / Prime Contractor, steel contractor or pre-engineered building contractor
- Budget, forecasting and schedule responsibility
- Procurement and subcontractor management experience
- Contract and change management experience
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications and shop drawings
- Experience working closely with Superintendents and field teams
- Client-facing project management experience
- Ability to manage projects independently and make day-to-day project decisions
Experience coordinating civil, concrete, mechanical or electrical scopes is also valuable.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Managing projects from award through closeout
- Project budgets, forecasting and cost control
- Schedules and key milestones
- Subcontractor and supplier coordination
- Procurement and material requirements
- Structural steel and pre-engineered building scopes
- RFIs, submittals and shop drawings
- Contracts, change orders and purchase orders
- Client meetings and project reporting
- Coordination with field teams
- Identifying and managing project risk
- Turnover, deficiencies and closeout
Compensation & Perks
The expected base salary is $140,000–$165,000, depending on experience and project background.
Project Managers are also eligible for project-based performance bonuses, typically ranging from $5,000–$25,000 per project. Bonus amounts depend on project complexity, budget and schedule performance, client experience and overall project results. Bonuses are performance-based and are not guaranteed.

Location & Travel
Candidates can be based in British Columbia, Alberta or Saskatchewan.
The position is primarily remote when not required at a project site and includes regular travel based on project needs.
Some assignments may require rotational site work. The location, duration and schedule will depend on the specific project.
Additional compensation is provided for rotational assignments.
Candidates who are comfortable with regular travel but would need to understand the details of a rotational assignment before committing are still encouraged to apply.
