Overview
We are looking for an exceptionally organized, capable person to help with the day-to-day operations behind our residential rental portfolio in Edmonton.
We're deliberately starting this position part time. As the portfolio grows and we learn where this person can create the most value, there may be an opportunity for the role and hours to grow as well.
Our portfolio includes individually owned rental properties throughout central Edmonton as well as larger multifamily residential projects.
Phone, Email & Communication
- Answer and return phone calls
- Monitor and respond to routine emails and inquiries
- Communicate professionally with tenants, owners, contractors and prospective renters
- Schedule appointments, property access and other visits
- Follow up when information, documents or work are outstanding
- Recognize when something requires the attention or decision of the Property Manager
Rental & Property Administration
- Maintain accurate property and tenant records
- Keep track of lease dates, renewals, move-ins, move-outs and important deadlines
- Collect and organize applications, documents and property information
- Prepare correspondence, reports, notices and documents for review
- Coordinate keys, access and appointments
- Keep property information and internal systems current
Maintenance Coordination
- Receive and document maintenance requests
- Ask the right questions to understand what is happening
- Coordinate approved contractors and property access
- Communicate appointment information with tenants
- Follow up to make sure work was completed
- Keep records of completed and outstanding work
- Identify situations that need immediate attention
Who We're Looking For Experience in real estate or leasing would be helpful, but it isn't required.
We're much more interested in finding someone who is:
- Exceptionally organized and reliable

- Comfortable dealing with many different kinds of people
- Able to work independently
- Good with technology and quick to learn new systems
- Able to manage several things happening at once

- Someone who genuinely likes getting things finished
What You'll Need
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable vehicle and ability to travel within Edmonton when required
- Strong computer and administrative skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Comfort using phone, email and cloud-based software
- Good judgment when handling confidential information
Experience in real estate administration, rentals, executive assistance, hospitality, office administration or another high-accountability service role would all be relevant. Hours & Opportunity
This position will begin at approximately 20–30 hours per week.
There will be some flexibility in how those hours are scheduled, although availability during regular business hours will be important and occasional appointments may fall outside those hours.
This is an unlicensed administrative and operational support position working alongside a licensed Property Manager. Activities requiring a real estate or property-management licence remain the responsibility of appropriately licensed individuals.
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
