Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PSW (Personal Support Worker) Italian Speaking to join our team in providing exceptional care to our diverse community. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized assistance to individuals in various care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your ability to communicate fluently in Italian will help bridge language barriers and foster meaningful connections with clients.

Responsibilities

- Provide compassionate patient care, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Assist with medication administration and ensure proper documentation of all treatments and medications.
- Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration to promote nutritional health.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning client living spaces to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Help with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary, to prevent falls and injuries.
- Offer emotional support and companionship,



especially for clients with dementia or experiencing hospice care needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to monitor client health status and report any concerns promptly.

Qualifications

- Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of patient care practices, senior care, dementia management, and hospice support.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or requiring specialized care is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Italian; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker or equivalent; relevant training in caregiving is beneficial.
- Demonstrated reliability, compassion, patience, and a positive attitude toward caregiving responsibilities.
