Aboriginal Infant Development Program (AIDP) WorkerProgram:Indigenous Early YearsStatus:Full Time, Union (BCGEU)Wage:Starting at $35.00/hour + advantages and pensionLocation:717 Princess Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6A 3E4Hours:Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PMPositions Available:1Under the supervision of the Director of Indigenous Early Years, the Aboriginal Infant Development Worker (AIDW) supports children and families through the Indigenous Early Years (IEY) Program at Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society (VAHS).The AIDW works alongside parents, caregivers, and community professionals to support infant and early childhood development through culturally grounded, family‑centred care. This role includes outreach visits, developmental guidance, referrals, advocacy, and individualized support planning for Indigenous children and families.This position requires community outreach, home visits, and the ability to manage a dynamic caseload while building strong and respectful relationships with families and community partners.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct intake interviews and gather background information to assess family and infant needsProvide outreach visits in homes and community settings to support infant development and family wellnessDevelop individualized family support plans in collaboration with caregivers and community professionalsMonitor infant progress and adapt support strategies as neededSupport parents and caregivers through education, advocacy, and culturally grounded guidanceAssist families in accessing diagnostic assessments, childcare, medical services, and community supportsSupport transitions into childcare, preschool, and supported childcare programsFoster positive parent‑child relationships and continuity of care for infants‑in‑careProvide education and advocacy related to infant development, developmental delays, and family wellnessBuild collaborative relationships with community agencies, professionals,
