If you love contributing directly to in vivo research through hands‑on lab work, this is the role for you!How you might spend your daysPerforming in vivo and ex vivo techniques to support in vivo studiesCarrying out daily health assessments and recording clinical observationsSupporting in vivo day‑of‑study operations to ensure smooth execution and to maximize efficiencyOrganizing and preparing lab spaces, materials/consumables, and equipment for in vivo and ex vivo activitiesProviding technical support and problem‑solving solutions, while identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices to optimize workflow efficiencyEnsuring accurate recording of in vivo data across all studies and supporting teammates with data entry as requiredTraining and mentoring team members to ensure compliance with safety policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirementsCollaborating with study managers,
ensuring alignment on study protocols and animal welfare considerationsWe’d love to hear from you ifYou provide the highest level of animal care while overseeing and performing in vivo activitiesYou are experienced with animal handling, dosing (IV, IP, SQ), and blood collection, and have a strong understanding of the 3Rs and research ethicsYou have 4+ years of experience in an in vivo research environment; a BSc, and experience with in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo techniques for PK and oncology models are considered assetsYou manage competing priorities seamlessly and you thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced lab environmentYou take pride in being a self‑motivated person, rapid learner, team player, and creative problem solverYou have excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills, and are known for your accountability and reliabilityYou are able to lift up to 25 kg, and are comfortable with long periods of standing and bending throughout your dayYou are able to work at least one weekend day per weekWhat we offerAbCellera’s hiring range for this role is CAD $58,800 - $74,000 annually, commensurate with your education and job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non‑match) RRSP contribution.You will have a CAD $1,500 annual Active Lifestyle Allowance, annual vacation, opportunity for flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities, and comprehensive health benefits.
