Family owned and operated through five generations, Copp’s Buildall has played a prominent role in the city of London’s building industry for almost 150 years. We have four locations within London and supply to both contractor and retail customers.

We are currently seeking a purchaser for our Head Office locationto fill an upcoming vacancy.

The purchaser works closley with our sales team and customers to ensure we have the right products for our market.

Responsibilities

- Manage an assigned group of product catagories
- Work closely with our sales team and customers to ensure we have the right products for our market, maintaining a competitive edge on our competition
- Ensure group of categories is merchandised appropriately at each Branch. Meet with Branch Manager to review regularly
- Review product lines frequently and clear out slow moving or obsolete goods
- Meet with vendors to discuss programs, including product assortment, issues, and buy prices. May involve negotiating pricing to ensure we are competitive in the market
- Communicate with the Branches on a daily basis, working collaboratively on the setup of new products, product supply, assortment, issues, etc
- Be the main point of contact for training and sales support
- Work closely with the Marketing department,



offering input and special buys for sales flyers and events.
- Oversee and assist in the maintenance of assigned product categories, including; cost changes, website maintenance, pricing updates, inventory levels, and new product setup
- May involve participation on committees within the ILDC and SPANCAN buying groups

Requirements

- Customer service oriented with strong communication skills
- Experience in a construction, building supply, or trade-related industry an asset
- Excellent analytical skills
- Purchasing or inventory management experience preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Sound judgement and decision making ability
- Proficient with Microsoft office

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
