The TCDSB is an inclusive Catholic learning community that nurtures faith development and academic excellence through the love of God, neighbor, and self.Exempt Level 6: $116,814–$140,173Key AccountabilitiesReporting to the Superintendent of Education, the Senior Consultant, Adult Education coordinates the delivery of the adult, non‑credit settlement language and essential skills training in English and French, in accordance with contribution agreements with federal and provincial departments and ministries. The Senior Consultant leads the delivery of adult education programs, including strategic direction, staff management, financial oversight, stakeholder engagement, and program evaluation, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and the needs of diverse adult learners.Oversee the design, development, and implementation of adult learning programsMonitor program quality, relevance, and learner outcomesEstablish performance metrics and evaluation frameworksLead continuous improvement initiativesSupport staff development and training and foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performing team cultureEnsure compliance with organizational requirementsEnsure programs are accessible and inclusive for diverse adult learnersIntegrate equity principles into program design and deliverySupport the financial, human resources, payroll, facilities and curriculum delivery aspects of the program,



working with the appropriate TCDSB departments and servicesOrganize the collection and reporting of data relevant to enrollment, programs and financial statistics, etc.Provide guidance, training and performance evaluation of staff as requiredPerform other duties as assigned or requiredRequirementsA relevant degree from a recognized university or college in applied linguistics or related field, TESL Ontario certificationMinimum of four (4) years of related experience in a leadership role in adult settlement language trainingExperience overseeing the delivery of fully online adult language programs through the national learning management system (Avenue.Ca)Understanding of Canadian Language Benchmarks/Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens, Ontario Adult Literacy Curriculum Framework (OALCF), and adult language training curricula developed for adult non‑credit settlement language training in Canada and OntarioFamiliarity with principles of adult language acquisition and program deliveryLeadership experience to support, inspire, motivate and engage staff to achieve quality and accountability of programs and servicesKnowledge of the Education Act and related regulations/statutesProven ability to work with multi‑disciplinary groups including school communities, school administrators, senior staff, and external agenciesExcellent written, verbal communication and presentation skillsExperience writing reports, proposals and grant applicationsStrong analytical,
