Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse in Barrie, ON. Schedule
Sunday–Saturday, 19:00–08:00 Full time and part-time positions available. Nurses will be assigned a consistent weekly schedule of 1–3 shifts per week, depending on their availability and the staffing schedule. Please note:
To be considered for this position, applicants must be able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule. General Duties
Provide G/GJ tube care and management Administer and document medications as prescribed,
in accordance with CNO medication administration standards Monitor and ensure the safekeeping of medications and narcotics Maintain the child's records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living Observe and report changes in the child's condition to the parent/guardian and WeeCare Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transfers, and use of adaptive aids Demonstrate understanding of the child’s needs and support the child in maximizing their abilities Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child and family Respond to child and family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly workplace, including the child’s equipment and belongings Notify the supervisor of any concerns related to the child’s safety, incidents, or accidents Complete other duties as assigned Requirements
Licensed and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Experience working with pediatric clients Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) completed within the past 6 months Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) Employee Benefits
