Role Description The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing costs and budgets across the lifecycle of construction and technology-enabled projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. Day-to-day activities include preparing cost plans, conducting value engineering, performing risk and cost analyses, and tracking expenditures against project milestones.

The role involves reviewing contracts and change orders, validating contractor claims, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and financial controls.

The Quantity

Surveyor will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and external partners to provide accurate reporting, forecasts, and commercial advice.



This is a full-time hybrid role based in Canada, with a combination of in office presence and work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in cost estimating, budget management, and financial analysis for construction or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in contract administration, tender evaluation, and managing change orders and claims.
- Proficiency with quantity surveying and project management software, as well as advanced Excel and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of Canadian building codes, procurement practices, and relevant standards or regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for reporting, stakeholder coordination, and negotiation.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site collaboration with independent remote work.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., PQS, MRICS) is an asset.
- Experience with technology-driven or AI-enabled projects and an interest in innovative, future-ready solutions is beneficial.
