About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will have 1–2 years of relevant experience and thrive in a quick-paced legal environment. You will manage all aspects of residential, commercial, and mortgage transactions — from file preparation to closing — while reporting to clients and financial institutions and liaising directly with clients and counsel.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, manage, and close residential, commercial, and mortgage real estate files
- Report to clients, lenders, and financial institutions throughout the transaction process
- Communicate directly and professionally with clients and legal counsel
- Prioritize and manage a high volume of active files simultaneously
- Ensure accuracy and compliance throughout each transaction
Required Skills
- Experienced user of Unity and PCLaw software
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable communicating directly with clients
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple files at once
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of real estate law experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PC Law
- Strong typing and file organization skills
- Access to a reliable vehicle (an asset)
Compensation & Details
- Wage: $20 – $25 CAD/hour, commensurate with experience
- Type: Full-Time, Permanent
