Job OverviewThis position is responsible for performance of duties in the Clinical Lab Support Data Integrity department located at the Manulife Place. The role includes identifying, investigating, and remediating discrepancies in the Epic Beaker Module in Connect Care Clinical Information System (CIS), POCT Aegis, and TeleMED, using database systems such as Client Registry, PD, Netcare, JIRA, and Service Now. The person will investigate and correct order entry errors to ensure timely laboratory reporting and patient safety, support the Health Information Management (HIM) team with demographic discrepancies, and provide internal and external client support at a provincial level. and procedures.Provide support to internal and external clients at a provincial level.Participate in system testing programs.Submit provider and build requests into Epic Beaker data tables.Required QualificationsPost‑secondary education in office or business administration, medical office assistance, or related field.Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook).Experience utilizing multiple information systems in a medical workplace (Millennium, Sunquest, Connect Care, Client Registry, NetCare, Quanum).Intermediate keyboarding proficiency.Minimum 2 years of experience in laboratory patient registration or related health information work.Knowledge of medical terminology.Advanced critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.Excellent analytical and decision‑making abilities.Extreme accuracy and attention to detail.Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet established turn‑around times.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to convey information clearly to healthcare providers during remediation investigations.Positive interpersonal skills with providers, peers, management, and patients.Ability to collaborate with others and work independently through challenges.Ethical balance of business and client needs while maintaining data integrity.Adherence to strict regional policies, procedures, and legislated requirements regarding patient information.Preferred QualificationsPost‑secondary education related to laboratory assistant, unit clerk, health information management certificate, nursing, or equivalent.2–3 years of health‑care related experience.Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems and database experience.Previous lab Data Integrity Team experience.Security ScreeningSatisfactory criminal record check and/or Vulnerable Sector Search is required prior to your first day of work.
