ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM TEACHERAn employment opportunity exists for a Sk'aadgaa Naay Elementary School.Role: Temporary Full‑Time (1.0 FTE) Elementary Classroom Teacher effective September 1, 2026, continuing until the full return of the incumbent or no later than June 30, 2027 at Sk'aadgaa Naay Elementary School.RequirementsA university teaching major, or its equivalent, directly related to the teaching position.Understanding and being committed to the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, including the eradication of existing and persistent equity gaps for specific groups of children.A high level of skills related to successful classroom management and to the development and maintenance of a positive classroom climate.Experience with multi‑grade classes is an asset.Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, instruct and evaluate learning activities for students’ strengths and for their academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs.Assumption of responsibility for the development and execution of Individual Education Plans and Behaviour Support Plans.Knowledge of school-based teams.Preparedness to provide support in creating inclusive learning environments where students are connected, supported,



engaged and challenged.Proven interpersonal skills, work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, education assistants, parents and administrators.Understanding of local resources and environment.Teacher Regulation Branch certification.Compensation: Competitive Salary: $75,415 – $120,222 per annum. Remote and Rural Allowance: $3,500 per annum. Travel Allowance: $1,206 per annum.
