Position Overview

Our client is an established, independent Canadian wealth manager with a substantive national footprint. Currently experiencing sustained growth, the organization is seeking a Regional Vice President, Eastern Canada, to support and elevate the firm’s advisor community in the region. This is a newly created leadership role that reports directly to the CEO.

The Regional VP will serve as a senior, highly visible partner to advisors throughout the region, with accountability for driving net organic asset growth, recruiting and successfully transitioning new advisors, strengthening advisor retention and engagement, and supporting the adoption of strategic initiatives across the business. The role will also act as an important bridge between the advisor community and Head Office, ensuring regional needs and opportunities are understood and addressed effectively.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in wealth management, a strong understanding of the advisor landscape, and a demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with high-performing financial advisors and practice leaders. They will have a track record of driving commercial growth, attracting and retaining advisors, influencing without direct authority, and leading successfully in a decentralized, relationship-driven environment.

This is an attractive opportunity to join a growing, entrepreneurial wealth management organization and take on a broad regional leadership mandate and significant influence over the business's continued development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape a newly created position,

deepen relationships across the Eastern Canadian advisor network, and directly impact advisor growth, recruitment, retention and the continued expansion of the organization’s national platform.

Role Responsibilities

- Lead the execution of the regional growth strategy across Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada, with accountability for advisor retention, engagement, recruitment, and net organic asset growth.
- Serve as the primary senior field leadership representative for advisors across the region, developing trusted relationships and acting as a key point of contact between the advisor community and Head Office.
- Conduct regular business reviews with advisors and practice leaders to understand business performance, identify opportunities and develop strategies to accelerate organic growth.
- Coach advisors on business development, client acquisition, referral generation, household consolidation, practice management and succession planning.
- Promote and support the adoption of corporate growth programs, strategic initiatives and best practices across the region through individual coaching, field visits, workshops and other advisor engagement activities.
- Provide leadership and support in resolving advisor issues and escalations, partnering with functions including Operations, Compliance, Technology, Marketing, Product and Client Service to drive timely and effective outcomes.
- Represent the voice of advisors internally, identifying emerging needs, opportunities and potential risks while providing leadership with relevant regional market intelligence and feedback.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective advisors, including independent advisors, bank-affiliated advisors, succession-minded practices and advisors seeking greater independence and ownership over their businesses.
- Build relationships with prospective advisors, effectively communicate the organization’s value proposition and support candidates through due diligence, decision-making and transition planning.
- Partner closely with newly recruited advisors and internal teams to support successful onboarding and transition, helping ensure a positive experience and strong early engagement with the organization.
- Maintain appropriate reporting, pipeline management and forecasting related to regional recruiting and growth activity,

providing visibility into progress against key objectives.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, recruiting initiatives, advisor events and other market-facing activities that strengthen the firm’s presence and support continued growth across Eastern Canada.

Desired Qualifications

- A university degree in business, finance, economics or a related discipline is preferred. Significant experience within the Canadian wealth management industry, ideally within an advisor-led, independent wealth management, investment dealer or financial services environment.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with financial advisors and practice leaders, with a strong understanding of advisor business models, practice economics and the factors that influence advisor recruitment, retention and growth.
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with an ability to articulate a compelling value proposition and navigate complex or sensitive advisor discussions.
- Proven track record of driving business growth, including advisor recruitment, net organic asset growth, business development and/or the expansion of advisor practices.
- Collaborative leadership style and demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions including Operations, Compliance, Technology, Marketing, Product and Client Service.
- Highly relationship-oriented, entrepreneurial and externally focused, with the presence and credibility to represent the organization with both existing and prospective advisors.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted senior-level relationships and influence effectively in an environment where many key stakeholders are not direct reports.
