Tungasuvvingat Inuit is seeking an Intake and Assessment Specialist dedicated to improving client access to care. This full time role requires expertise in supportive services for Inuit communities.
As an Intake and Assessment Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to assess potential clients and manage the intake process in collaboration with the clinical team. You will serve as the first point of contact for clients, guiding them through initial assessments and treatment referrals at the Mamisarvik Healing Centre. Your experience in addiction and mental health services will be invaluable in this position, promoting holistic support for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate client intake interviews professionally • Make necessary referrals for treatment support • Maintain documentation and client waitlists • Work collaboratively with partner organizations • Provide updates to management on client progress
Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or related discipline • Relevant experience in community-based services • Strong knowledge of Inuit cultural history • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
