Job Overview

We are seeking two dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidates will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a smooth and efficient dental office environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive team focused on delivering high-quality dental services.

The position requires a professional with strong communication skills both written and verbal, a compassionate approach, and proficiency with dental software and procedures.

Office hours are Monday - Wednesday 8 am - 4 pm , Thursday 11 am - 7 pm, and Closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Duties

- Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling, polishing and fluoride application
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Write clear notes, during recent patient complete oral exams and recalls regarding any recommended treatment or referrals from the dentist.
- Take digital radiographs, BWs, PAs, PANs and intra oral photos
- Maintain accurate patient records using Cleardent
- Reprocess instruments and ensure operatory is up to IPAC standards
- Manage schedule with daily chart audits, checking recalls/hygiene frequencies and booking patients back in the operatory
- Support pediatric patients and assist with special needs cases when necessary




- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control standards
- Contribute to a welcoming setting by delivering excellent customer service

Requirements

- Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing in the province Ontario
- Experience with Cleardent or similar dental software preferred
- Knowledge in general dentistry procedures and implants is preferred
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, but recent grads are always welcome
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Background in dental assisting or related roles is beneficial but not mandatory
- Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment, as well as work individually
