Permanent Full-Time Advanced Care Paramedics - 4 Positions AvailableParamedic Services Full Time Wiikwemkoong, ONKey ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Deputy Chief of Paramedic Services, the Advanced Care Paramedic is responsible for providing both primary and advanced medical care within the established scope of practice and the limitations set by Health Sciences North Centre for Prehospital Care (HSNCPC). The role also includes secure and timely transportation of ill or injured patients to, from, or between health care facilities, and engagement in patient‑centric advocacy.Qualifications and Specific SkillsGraduate from an approved paramedic program as defined in Ontario legislation.Registered Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant in Ontario.Certification at the level of Advanced Care Paramedic in Ontario.Graduate from an approved Advanced Care Paramedic program as defined in Ontario legislation.Qualified to be employed as an Advanced Care Paramedic per DSB policies and current legislation.Hold valid certification authorized by the Medical Director from HSNCPC at the minimum level of an Advanced Care Paramedic in Ontario.Minimum of one year’s experience as a Primary Care Paramedic is preferred.Physically and psychologically able to perform the full range of duties required in urban, rural and remote settings.Highly motivated, empathetic,
