The successful candidate will have proven experience providing commercial leadership on major capital projects, particularly within the Design & Engineering Sector, and their work will contribute directly to the successful completion of the project.In Mobility, we partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.Role AccountabilitiesLead project commercial activities and cost team; report to SPM, Project Director and Country Commercial DirectorOwn financial performance: monitor/manage AR, AP and overall project profitabilityUpdate Cost to Complete / Estimate at Completion monthly; reconcile timesheets and agree forecasts prior to Oracle entryProduce monthly internal and external cost reports; highlight variances, early warnings and change impactsManage change control: process change notices, maintain change logs and develop implementation strategiesProcess, verify and issue invoices; chase outstandingpayments promptlyEnsure accurate cost classification and deliver clear financial reportsComplete month‑end and year‑end financial tasks; support audits with documentation and analysisSupport FX considerations and cost forecasting for international teamsMaintain project commercial records (contracts, change orders,



correspondence, schedules, reports)Implement and monitor earned value management (CPI, SPI); identify issues and propose corrective actionsRe‑baseline and re‑forecast costs and schedules as required, coordinating with schedulers and design leadsOversee contract administration, claims and commercial documentationLead by example on quality, promote safety, and engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD)QualificationsBachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, engineering, construction management, or related disciplineMinimum 12 years’ experience in delivering design and engineering projects, preferably in a consultancy environmentFlexible and adaptable; able to independently prioritise, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, dynamic environmentProficient in project management principles, planning, schedule/cost controls, and earned value managementWorking knowledge of risk management tools (e.G., Acumen Risk) and scheduling tools (e.G., Primavera P6)Experience managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and supporting detailed schedulesSkilled in tailoring commercial, financial, and project information for various stakeholder audiencesStrong organisational and coordination abilities, integrating multiple disciplines and specialist teamsDemonstrated commercial awareness; able to identify and manage cost, risk, and contractual implicationsLogical thinker with the ability to coordinate and resolve complex, multi‑faced project issuesDeep knowledge of own area and broad understanding of wider programme, business, and organisational objectivesExperience across all project lifecycle phases,



especially in complex and large‑scale civil infrastructureProven track record coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams in infrastructure or marine project settingsExperience delivering large‑scale civil infrastructure projects, especially marine or port works, is highly desirableMembership in recognised professional bodies (e.G., PQS, MRICS, MCIOB) preferredWorking knowledge of digital delivery and collaboration platforms (e.G., InEight Documents, Mortar, Smartsheet) desirableStrong oral and written communication, influencing, and relationship‑building skills across all organisational levelsWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
