This evolution is driven by the conviction that security must be both rigorous and enabling – a trusted function that protects the enterprise while supporting speed, agility, and user‑centric design.To lead this next phase, BCI is seeking a Vice President, Cyber Security – a seasoned,



innovative and service‑oriented leader who will be responsible for defining and executing the organization’s forward‑looking cyber strategy. Reporting to the SVP, Technology & Innovation and Chief Technology Officer, the Vice President will oversee a technically strong team of ~11 and lead a portfolio of cyber initiatives that safeguard BCI’s operations, reputation, and global workforce. They will serve as a trusted advisor to the wider BCI organization, the Executive Management Team and Board of Directors, fostering a culture of security awareness, innovation, and resilience.The ideal candidate is an IT leader with proven experience leading a modern, future‑focused cyber security function within a dynamic complex organization. Specific expertise in Zero Trust security models, quantum computing security implications, modern threat intelligence frameworks and experience integrating AI, machine learning and automation in cyber security operations would be ideal. In this high‑profile leadership role, the Vice President will need to be a visionary leader capable of quickly building trust and credibility with the rest of the Technology Department, the Board and Management team at BCI while working collaboratively across all areas of the business.



This role requires a visionary people leader who not only understands cutting‑edge cyber security concepts but can translate them into practical, business‑aligned security strategies. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader with a service‑oriented mindset, capable of fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and ensuring BCI’s security posture remains robust in an evolving digital landscape.Located in either Vancouver or Victoria (with a preference for Victoria), this is a unique opportunity to lead and evolve a highly‑skilled cyber security function for one of Canada’s most energetic investment organizations.BCI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes a performance‑based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, a defined benefit pension plan and paid time off.The annualized base salary range for this role based in Victoria or Vancouver is CAD $180,000-$230,000.The base salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including a wide array of factors related to the individual’s skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration to internal equity.We pay our people competitively in the markets in which we compete for talent and with consideration to internal equity and job structure. We aim for actual pay to be around the median of the market for target or expected levels of performance, and around the upper quartile of the market for excellent performance.Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience and expertise.#J-18808-Ljbffr
