KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:This person would be a member of, and Lead, the Logistics Team with the responsibility to successfully implement Taiga’s logistical needs and functions, including but not limited to:Assess internal Taiga freight requirements to negotiate competitive market rates and secure reliable freight servicesCoordination of inbound and outbound material using various systems (BisTrack, Freight Boards, WMS, OptiRoute, ScanTrack)Follow up and maintain the status of scheduled inbound and outbound shipmentsStay current with industry trends that will influence the supply, demand, and cost related to Taiga’s freight requirementsAbility to create Customs documentation for cross border freight movementsReview and process freight and custom invoices efficiently and accuratelyInteract with railways and represent the interests of Taiga’s rail-serviced operationsInteract with suppliers, carriers,
and internal operations to maintain a positive and collaborative work environmentLiaison between Taiga’s accounts payable and truck companies’ accounts receivablesTroubleshoot WMS inaccuracies to ensure operational efficiency.Assist in cycle counting, lost unit locating, and bin label maintenance.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:Understanding various modes of transportation and processesAbility to prioritize tasks and maintain flexibilityStrong communication skills and an ability to resolve issues promptlyInitiate situational assessment and proactively action resolutions independentlyBe resourceful to find quick and accurate ways to overcome difficultiesConfidence to successfully manage internal and external business relationships and resourcesMultitask with precision in a rapid-paced environmentExperience with large material and transport equipment is an assetCOMPENSATION:Annual Salary : $50,000 – $60,000Dental careExtended health careLife insuranceRRSP contributionVision care#J-18808-Ljbffr
