These residents require assistance to continue living their lives and fulfilling daily activities. The unit provides staff exposure to physical conditions common with aging and their impact on mobility, pain, activities of daily living and emotional health.Key ResponsibilitiesIn collaboration with an RN, provide sound clinical knowledge and skills,



act as a clinical expert and resource, and deliver comprehensive, quality client/family‑centred health care services from admission through transfers and discharge.Plan for, deliver, and evaluate nursing interventions, including medications, within the RPN’s scope of practice.Provide client‑centred care within an interdisciplinary care team to meet personal care, activation, recreation and spiritual needs of clients.Perform client assessments.Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to develop and revise individualized care plans.QualificationsCurrent registration in valuable standing from the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) is required.Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate, Level C – Automated External Device (AED) is required.Experience in long‑term care, client day programs or residents in a long‑term care and community setting is preferred.Psychogeriatric experience, including mental health assessment, intervention and working with responsive behaviors such as dementia, delirium, or other mental health issues, is preferred.Certificate in Dementia Care is preferred.Training in Gentle Persuasive Approach and U‑First is preferred.Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem‑solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Basic computer skills – including MDS/RAI, Point Click Care, Microsoft Word and Excel – are preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
