Regulatory Relations Supervisor
(McClean Lake)

What you’ll accomplish:
- Ensure that the Integrated Management System (IMS) adds value to the McClean Lake Operation and is maintained and improved in accordance with Orano requirements, regulatory commitments, and the ISO 14001/45001 standards
- Prepare audit plans and perform process-related audits
- Supports the non-conformance investigation and follow-up process including incident notifications
- Manages the regulatory correspondence mailbox and library and coordinates site document control
- Conducts IMS/ISO/regulatory training for Orano supervisors
- Track actions arising from non-conformances, internal audits and management reviews
- Track regulatory commitments and obligations
- Collaborate with Saskatoon departments and teams on matters involving regulatory requirements and management systems
- Liaise with federal and provincial regulatory agencies and stakeholders
- Coordinate the contributions of technical specialists in the review of regulatory submissions including applications and notifications
- Draft regulatory responses and submissions
- Stay current with advancements and changes in the regulatory environment as they relate to and are potentially applicable to implementation at the McClean Lake Operation
- Train, mentor, and supervise Management Systems Technicians and Analysts
- Monitor site activity compliance with licenses/approvals/permits/requirements
- Coordinate and participate in regulatory inspections, external compliance and company audits
- Coordinate the development,
review and editing of the McClean Lake Operations Annual Report, Integrated Management System Manual, and Facility Description Manual
- Promote and support Operational Excellence efforts and OE Culture
- Comply with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures

Skills and Qualifications we’re seeking:
- Relevant education and work experience within the legal, political science, environmental, or engineering fields will be considered
- 5+ years of experience in a regulatory environment dealing with provincial and/or federal legislation
- Natural ability to lead and influence others, developing strong relationships with various stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities and timelines on projects
- Excellent analytical skills to problem solve, plan and organize competing deadlines effectively
- Excellent communication skills to communicate with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to excel in a multi-disciplined team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity of the uranium mining industry or regulatory/licensing processes would be a strong asset
- Must be able to interact well with all departments on site
- Required to communicate well with all levels of personnel at site
- Necessary to have a sound knowledge of the company’s operations and of the requirements imposed by legislation
Work Location & Schedule:
- McClean Lake Mine Site
- 14 day in/ 14 day out rotating schedule
- Normally an 11 hour work day,
although some activity outside of normal working hours is occasionally required
Salary Range: $104,100 - $122,500 Compensation to be determined based on the selected candidate’s level of skill, education, and experience, and may vary within, the posted salary range.

Fly Day- This position will fly in and fly out on Wednesday Pick-Up Points: Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region of Uranium City, Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac, and Wollaston.
As a condition of employment the successful candidate must complete Orano’s pre-employment checks including education verification and employment reference checks.
Drug (including marijuana) and alcohol substance testing is a requirement for all Safety Sensitive positions. Applicants who have recently used marijuana recreationally may not pass a substance test as marijuana can remain in the user’s system for as many as 30 days after use.
