The Restorative Care Team Member performs duties under the direction and supervision of the Restorative Care Team Lead. The Restorative Care Team is overseen by the Healthcare Administrator.

The Restorative Care Team Member will work within the Restorative Care Team and with individual residents to educate and promote movement, function and activity. The role’s day to day tasks will include encouraging residents to stay active, providing residents with social interaction and assisting residents with their individualized exercise programs during their pre-scheduled appointments.

Qualifications

- Possess an OT/PTA certificate OR education in Kinesiology
- Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR.
- Physically able to perform assigned duties.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to critically think.
- Ability to function as a team member.

General Duties & Responsibilities

- Adherence to all Windsor Court Policies and Procedures.
- Proper regard for confidential information.
- The team member will work with residents to restore, maintain, or enhance their level of functional independence.
- Assist health care professionals.
- Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate residents with various injuries or disabilities.




- Participate in the delivery of meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activity programs dedicated for memory care, at an appropriate level for resident engagement.
- Assist with supervision of residents in the dining hall for meals.
- Assist with escorting residents to and from meals, activities, and appointments as needed.
- Document resident rehabilitation progress.
- Schedule and confirm appointments with the ability to reorganize appointments on short notice to suit resident’s ever-changing needs. The team member will make every reasonable attempt to carry out appointments and prevent cancellations.
- Participate in staff meetings and educational in-services.
- Deals courteously with residents, staff, family/friends and other visitors.
- Report incidents promptly and complete incident reports. Protect the health & safety of residents, co-workers and self by adopting safe work practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately, and participating in health & safety related training
- Report changes in resident behavior, condition, needs to LPN in charge.
- Report decline and incline in resident performance to Restorative Care Team Lead

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: $21.33 per hour
