About this position
This is a self-employed, independent contractor position, not employment. You're paid commission on the business you write. There's no base salary and no advantages. What you earn depends on what you sell, and it varies month to month. If you need steady income right now, this isn't a fit, and I'd rather say so here than three weeks in.
You also can't sell anything until you're licensed. That means passing the LLQP Course and getting licensed by your provincial regulator. Like every licensed profession, there are costs: background check, course, exam, provincial licence fee, and E&O.; I'll give you exact numbers on the call before you commit to anything.
Most agencies stop paying attention between "I'm interested" and "I'm licensed." We built a process for that part, because we got tired of watching people sign up and disappear.
The work
Meet families and business owners by video or in-person. Go through what they own, where their money sits, how it's taxed, and what happens to it if they die. Recommend life insurance and savings products that fit their needs and goals.
What I'm looking for
- You live in Ontario or Alberta
- You're willing to write the LLQP and hold a provincial licence
- You can talk to a stranger about money without getting weird about it
- You can work from home without anyone checking on you
No degree required. No industry experience. No sales background. No Canadian work experience requirement. All training is provided.
