Position SummaryThe Reconciliation Month Programs Assistant will support the WCWRC Reconciliation Month Committee in developing a program calendar for July 2026 at WCWRC. They will collaborate with staff on planning and delivering events, community celebrations and other informational or recreational activities for the community to honour and celebrate Indigenous culture and knowledge. They may also support other Centre activities and events, as needed.Applicants must be a Canadian Resident between 18 and 30 (inclusive).Duties and ResponsibilitiesDrop-in SupportBuild relationships with participantsCreate a welcoming atmosphere for everyone in the Drop‑InEnsure that the Drop‑In space is clean, well maintained and organizedBe fully informed of WCWRC activities, programming and staff in order to direct inquiries appropriatelyProvide support and referrals to vulnerable participants compassionately and non‑judgmentally while maintaining robust personal boundariesReconciliation Month ProgramsParticipate actively in the WCWRC Reconciliation CommitteeSupport planning and delivering programming, events and activities focusing on ReconciliationPlan and facilitate events, workshops, celebrations and programs, including community events in partnership with other agencies, as identified with the teamShare planned activities in the monthly program calendarTrack and report on programs and initiatives implemented, including event summariesEssential Knowledge,
