Our growing Brampton client who is a leader in manufacturing is looking for a Millwright (433A) to join their team for a straight weekend shift. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years related experience and ideally has their Electrical certification or has good electrical knowledge. You will be responsible for the following:Experience Required:- Applicant must have valid red seal maintenance millwright designation- Applicant must have at least 5 years of maintenance related work experience- Experience with preventative maintenance practices is desired- Strong knowledge/experience with conveyors, drives, motors, electrical/hydraulics, PLC's is an asset- Experience with online systems for part ordering/stocking/work orders and PM's is an asset- Some forklift experience is an assetEducation/Designation/License Required:- Applicant must be a Completed - Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), License required- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalentResponsibilities of the Job:- The maintenance millwright is responsible for the protected and proper preventative and urgent maintenance of production related equipment throughout the concrete manufacturing facility.



This position reports directly to the Plant Supervisors and Manager.Primary functions and duties of this position are listed below:- Participate in all safety initiatives and practices- Perform the preventative maintenance for all process and production equipment- Troubleshoot and repair process and production equipment- Fabricate and weld to repair, modify or improve process and production equipment- Utilize the company EAM system to manage parts, work orders and PM's- Participate in housekeeping functions to promote a safe, clean and effective work environment- Utilize safe lifting and rigging skills- Participate in general plant functions and assist with equipment set-up- Safely operate forklift during the completion of maintenance tasks- Assist in the scheduling and organizing of the annual plant shut-down period- Carry out other duties as assignedIn addition to the above primary functions, the Maintenance Millwright must complete individual and team objectives focused on continuous improvement of product/processes at the Peel manufacturing location.Abilities and Skills Required:- Able to bend, twist and reach- Able to lift heavy objects- Able to see in detail- Able to multi-task and prioritize- Able to meet critical deadlines- Able to schedule work order for timely completion of tasks- Able to work independently as well as in a team setting- Diligent completion of maintenance work- Detail oriented with a strategy of preventative maintenance compared to reactive- Excellent organizational skills- Literacy in Microsoft Office Suite- Skilled in welding, blueprint and drawing reading, lifting and riggingShift- Friday, Saturday and Sunday's 6am-6pmHourly wage - $50-$53/hr FridaySaturday- time and a halfSunday- double timeIf you are interested then please apply asap.
