Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing excellent quality patient care and leadership to members of the health care team within the nursing units of the Health Centre.The hours of work will be all shifts, including weekends, and being on-call as required.ResponsibilitiesProvide patient care in surgical services including Operating Room, Day Surgery, Post-Anesthetic Care, and Endoscopy.Lead and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.Maintain high standards of nursing practice and patient safety.QualificationsCurrent Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of OntarioSuccessful completion of a post-graduate peri-operating nursing course and/or equivalent experienceCertification with the Canadian Nurses Association in peri-operative Nursing or willingness to obtainRecent and relevant Operating Room and Post Anesthetic Care experience with demonstrated competency in all advanced nursing practices relevant to Operating Room nursingKnowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programsSatisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work referencesBachelor of Science in Nursing is an assetA.C.L.S.
