The position reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for end‑to‑end ownership of the production value stream, driving operational performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement aligned with strategic objectives and customer expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn, monitor, and drive improvement in key performance indicators (KPIs) such as safety incidents, first‑pass yield, defects per unit, on‑time delivery, and cost efficiency.Oversee daily production activities, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and aligned with production schedules and quality standards.Lead a cross‑functional production team (production, quality, materials, maintenance) – set expectations, provide coaching, and enforce accountability.Partner with Production Planning and Materials teams to balance demand with capacity, optimize material usage and labor deployment.Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for operational issues using tools such as Pareto analysis, A3 problem solving, and process mapping.Champion Lean manufacturing principles, eliminating waste and improving efficiency through 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work and Value Stream Mapping initiatives.Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve design, process or equipment issues that affect production.Ensure adherence to safety policies, quality standards and regulatory requirements,
promoting a culture of zero injuries and high‑quality production.Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Technology or a related field.10+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations environments.5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role such as Operations Manager, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Value Stream Leadership.Proven track record of improving KPIs (cycle time, FPY, DPU, cost saving).Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) preferred.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.APICS, CPIM or other supply‑chain certification is a plus for materials‑heavy value streams.Strong leadership and team‑development skills.Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and data‑driven problem‑solving skills.Hands‑on experience in Lean manufacturing, value‑stream mapping, waste elimination and production workflow optimization.Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.Strong time‑management and prioritization skills.Technical proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (INFOR/Syteline a plus), Tableau, Microsoft Office.Career ambition and track record of growth and increasing responsibility.Work Environment100 % in‑office presence in our Surrey, B.C. offices; no work from home.Day shift position.CompensationBase salary range: CAD 123,000 – 152,000.
