NAIT – Automotive Service Technician Program Continuous InstructorOverviewNAIT is seeking a continuous instructor to lead the Automotive Service Technician Program, guiding students in diagnosing problems, repairing engines, and maintaining vehicles in industry settings.SkillsStrong technical knowledge in Automotive Service.Ability to work independently and within a team.Passion, enthusiasm, and innovative ideas that contribute to program growth.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and present learning outcomes and activities in classroom, laboratory, and industry settings.Participate in curriculum development, program reviews, and course reviews.Facilitate learning using instructional strategies that ensure efficient and effective delivery of course materials.Manage instructional delivery and set the tone and climate for a secure and effective learning environment.Create assessment tools to evaluate the learning process and maintain progress records.Provide early and ongoing coaching and tutoring for students to maximize student success.Respond to student issues.Utilize appropriate educational technology for presentations, communications,



and program promotions.Maintain and submit program/student records accurately and promptly.Maintain professional and ethical relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners.Actively participate in the strategies of NAIT 2021+, NAIT’s Strategic Plan, and NAIT’s Academic Plan.Use regular student feedback to identify and implement instructional improvement.Improve the quality of instruction through professional development activities.Other duties as assigned.Skills & AbilitiesExcellent interpersonal skills.Strong desire to help students succeed.Excellent communication skills.Knowledge of computers.QualificationsHigh School Diploma.Completion of Automotive Service Technician Alberta Journeyperson certificate or provincial equivalent, including Inter-Provincial Red Seal.Minimum 8 years recent industry experience after completion of Journeyperson ticket.Teaching experience an asset.RemunerationSalary will commensurate with education and experience.
