The role involves operating tow motors and overhead cranes, completing associated paperwork, and ensuring timely shipment preparations. Responsibilities also include receiving incoming materials according to company policies.Job ResponsibilitiesOperate tow motor and crane safely to load or unload trailers and trucks.Verify counts on production copies against actual product.Visually inspect for any non‑conformances.Follow all required procedures.Report all problems to the supervisor or lead hand when they occur.Perform daily check‑lists.Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead hand.Safety Responsibility and AccountabilityEnsure dock and warehouse safety training is followed.Report hazards or problems to your supervisor immediately.Report injuries or incidents to your supervisor immediately.Maintain a safe and clean working workplace by complying with the Health and Safety Act and good housekeeping practices.Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hi‑viz vest, gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and hardhat within the plant area.Abide by all plant rules, safety rules, and company regulations.Essential Skills & QualificationsPrevious manufacturing experience is an asset.Good organizational and communication skills.Flexibility to work afternoons or occasional overtime.Team player and self‑starter.Schedule and CompensationAfternoon Shift (12:45 pm - 9:00 pm)Wage: $26 per hourEqual Opportunity EmploymentColor Steels is committed to the principles of Employment Equity, which includes maintaining a fair, equitable, and diverse workforce.
