Job DescriptionEntry‑Level Electrical Engineer to join our Buildings + Places team in Burnaby, British Columbia.ResponsibilitiesDesign SupportAssist in the design of electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution systems, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm systems, low‑voltage systems (communications, security, etc.)Help prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentationPerform basic electrical calculations (e.G., load calculations, panel schedules)Support Revit/BIM modeling and AutoCAD draftingProject CoordinationWork closely with intermediate and senior engineers to support project deliveryCoordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, architectural, structural) under guidanceParticipate in internal design meetings and team discussionsCodes & StandardsLearn and apply relevant electrical codes and standards (e.G., Canadian Electrical Code)Ensure designs align with project requirements and industry practicesStay informed on engineering best practices and emerging technologiesConstruction Phase SupportAssist with shop drawing reviews, responding to RFIs, site visits and field reviews (with supervision)Support commissioning and project closeout activitiesProfessional DevelopmentActively work toward developing technical knowledge and design skillsPursue Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT)
