The opportunity:

The SSTaRLeT trial (Shorter Regimens for Latent Tuberculosis) is a Phase 2 randomized controlled trial comparing shorter rifamycin-based regimens for tuberculosis preventive therapy against standard 4-month rifampin, conducted at the Manitoba site under Drs. Mayara Bastos, Rachel Dwilow, Michael Onotera.

This position exists to support day-to-day trial conduct at the local site — participant recruitment, informed consent, data collection, and study administration — including coordination with SSTaRLeT-affiliated sub-studies (patient cost and acceptability sub-studies), ensuring the site meets its enrollment, data quality, and regulatory obligations to the trial sponsor, McGill University.

The qualifications and experience we’re looking for:

- Bachelor's Degree in a health-related study area, including laboratory analysis techniques.

OR




- Completion of a Community College course in a related discipline with one year's = directly-related experience

OR
- High school completion with job-related options with a minimum of four years = directly related experience.
- Health field-related diplomas or certificates may be considered.
- Experience working within a clinical research environment is required.
- Experience with patient/participant contact is required.
- Experience consenting research participants is required.
- Experience working with Data Capture software preferred.
- Experience processing biological samples is preferred.
- GCP, TCPS-Core, Division 5 and PHIA training preferred.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
- Attention to detail is required.
- Demonstrated ability in using computer software related to word processing (e.g. Microsoft Office, Outlook) required.
- Satisfactory clearance of criminal records and child abuse registry checks required.
- Fluent (writing and speaking) in English is required,
- A satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
- Knowledge of French an asset.
