Overview

We are looking for a reliable Residential and Commercial Installer to join our construction team in Banff. The successful candidate will work on residential construction, renovation, and multi-family housing projects and will be responsible for installing and finishing various interior and exterior building components.

Main Duties

- Install doors, windows, cabinets, shelving, bathroom vanities, and other ready-made interior building components in current homes, company rental properties and renovation projects.
- Install exterior building components such as siding, exterior panels, railings, fencing, and deck components.
- Take site measurements and check openings and installation areas before starting work to make sure components fit properly.
- Follow project drawings, manufacturer instructions, and directions from the site supervisor when completing installation work.
- Cut, fit, fasten, level, and adjust building components using common hand and power tools.
- Check completed installations for proper fit, alignment, operation, and finish, and make adjustments when necessary.
- Replace or repair damaged doors, panels, fixtures, hardware, and other installed components during construction or renovation work.




- Work with other members of the construction team to coordinate installations with the progress of framing, finishing, and other site work.
- Prepare the immediate work area for installation and remove packaging, off-cuts, and installation materials after the work is completed.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and follow site safety procedures while performing installation work.

Requirements

- Willing to work in Banff area
- Previous experience in construction, renovation, building-product installation, or similar hands-on work is preferred.
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools.
- Able to take accurate measurements and follow drawings and installation instructions.
- Able to lift and handle building components and perform physically demanding work.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a construction team.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work at construction sites in Banff.
- Valid driver’s licence is a MUST.
