THE ROLEUnder the supervision of the Arena Superintendent, the Arena Attendant monitors and maintains the ice rink. They respond to inquiries about the facility, hours, regulations and rules, and provide information on services provided. The Arena Attendant maintains good ice conditions by scraping, shovelling, brushing and hosing the ice, they operate the edger to level out ice along the boards, as required, and ensure that access to the facility and services is by authorized clients only. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDEDEducation, Certifications and Licenses High school diploma AND some years experience in a related field. OR An acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience will also be considered. AND Current CPR and basic First Aid qualifications Experience In ice rink maintenance In operating ice rink equipment In providing customer service Competencies Clientfocus,organizationalknowledge,communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
