PLASP operates in more than240schools providing before school, lunch, and after school programs and 38full-day early learning and child care centres and sixEarlyON locations for children from 0 – 6 years.PLASP is committed to hiring, training, and fairly compensating staff. Activities will promote their physical, social, emotional and intellectual well-being, in accordance with the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA), How Does Learning Happen? (HDLH?) and the guidelines established by PLASP for all program components including P.A.
DaysSupportingtheorderingoffoodfor the program,andpreparing nutritious breakfast and snackswhile adhering tothe guidelines of the Canada Food Guide,and in accordance with the rotational snack plannerIn the Program Director’s absence,beingresponsibleforalladministration of the program, including registration, record-keeping, health and safety monitoring and ordering of suppliesIn the Program Director’s absence,operating programs according to the Ministry of Education (MEDU) standards and ensures the CCEYA license is in good standingParticipating fully in P.A. Days, by providing safe, reliable care on and off school premisesAn ECE degree/diploma and be registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) or have a Child Youth Worker/Care diploma (CYW/CYC) or Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) in good standingA minimum 2years’ experience in child care and community service organization (experience in supervision of staff preferred)Knowledge of the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA)and Ministry of Education Licensing requirementsA valid Standard First Aid Certificate, with level C CPRA valid Criminal Reference Check – Vulnerable SectorAll health requirements (immunizations) to be met in accordance with the CCEYAandMedical Officer of HealthA positive, fun and supportive working environmentGrowth and career advancementContinuous professional learning opportunitiesA competitive compensation packageAn opportunity to make a difference in the lives of childrenPLASP Child Care Services is committed to accommodating applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
