The successful candidate will be responsible for operating asphalt rollers and compaction equipment to ensure asphalt surfaces meet quality and safety standards on commercial and residential paving projects.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate asphalt rollers and compaction equipment safely and efficientlyCompact asphalt surfaces to specified density and quality standardsPerform pre-trip and daily equipment inspectionsMonitor asphalt temperature and compaction quality during paving operationsWork closely with paving crew members, equipment operators,



and site supervisorsAssist with general labour duties as required on-siteMaintain a clean and protected work environmentFollow all company health and safety procedures and Ontario construction regulationsReport equipment issues or safety concerns immediatelyJob RequirementsPrevious experience operating asphalt rollers in road construction or paving environmentsKnowledge of asphalt paving and compaction proceduresAbility to work long hours, weekends, and overtime during peak paving seasonAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsStrong communication and teamwork skillsReliable transportation to and from job sitesPhysically capable of lifting, standing, bending, and working in demanding conditionsRequired Licenses & CertificationsValid Ontario Driver’s License (Class G minimum)Clean driver’s abstract preferredValid Working at Heights certification considered an assetHeavy equipment operator certification considered an assetPreferred ExperienceExperience operating double drum rollers, packers, or other compaction equipmentExperience working on municipal roads, parking lots, and commercial paving projectsKnowledge of preventative equipment maintenanceDurationTemporary to Permanent#J-18808-Ljbffr
