Wage: $38.00 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Work Location: On site – Calgary, Alberta

Hanyang Korean Restaurant is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both front-of-house and kitchen operations, supervising staff, maintaining service and food quality standards, controlling costs and inventory, and ensuring efficient restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily restaurant operations
- Manage and coordinate front-of-house and kitchen operations
- Monitor revenues, food costs, labour costs and operating expenses
- Develop and manage operational budgets
- Organize and maintain food, beverage and supply inventory
- Coordinate purchasing and negotiate with suppliers as required
- Recruit, train and supervise restaurant staff
- Prepare staff schedules and coordinate daily staffing requirements
- Monitor staff performance and conduct performance reviews
- Maintain food quality, consistency and service standards
- Oversee kitchen workflow and coordinate food preparation operations
- Ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace health and safety requirements are followed
- Address customer concerns and maintain high standards of customer service




- Implement and maintain restaurant operating procedures
- Assist with menu costing and cost-control procedures
- Maintain POS, cash and operational records as required

Requirements
- 3 years or more of experience in restaurant management or a related food service management role
- Experience managing both kitchen and front-of-house operations
- Robust knowledge of restaurant operations, inventory management and cost control
- Experience supervising and training restaurant staff
- Strong leadership, organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent oral communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications
- English required
- Canadian work experience is not required
