Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations at our St. Albert location. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing front-of-house and back-of-house operations, developing team members, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining the highest standards of service, food quality, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a proven track record of leading successful restaurant teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate front-of-house and back-of-house team members.
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop staff to build a high-performing team.
- Ensure exceptional guest experiences by maintaining outstanding service standards and promptly resolving customer concerns.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency while ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Manage labour costs, scheduling, inventory control, and purchasing to achieve operational and financial goals.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, daily deposits,
and POS system operations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and execution during service.
- Maintain compliance with Alberta Health Services regulations, liquor licensing requirements, and company policies.
- Analyze sales performance, identify opportunities for growth, and implement strategies to improve profitability.
- Foster a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience in a full-service restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities with a hands-on management style.
- Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety standards, and hospitality best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage labour, inventory, and operating costs effectively.
- Experience with POS systems and cash management procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
