Overview

We are looking for an outgoing, friendly person who takes pride in their work, to fill an immediate opening we have for a Part Time Retail Associate at our homewares store Perch, located on 5th Street in Courtenay. This role involves helping customers, handling cash and card transactions, managing some incoming freight, pricing and light cleaning of shelves etc . The ideal candidate will have great customer service skills, is enthusiastic and can work independently.

We are looking for someone to do 2 to 3 days per week and an occasional Saturday.

Duties

- Welcome customers professionally and assist them with a range of products.
- Accurately managing cash transactions and bank machine
- Helping with incoming stock, pricing and restock shelves
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the sales floor
- Managing opening and closing procedures




- Have experience or math skills for cash handling and POS transactions
- Ability to work well with others or independently without issue.
- Flexible and reliable, starting work on time
- Other duties as required

Requirements : You should be a self starter, be able to work independently, work a full day and lift 15 to 20 pounds without any issues.
