Iovate Health Sciences International Inc. is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Trade Finance Analyst to join our team!Job Title: Trade Finance AnalystLocation: Oakville ON- Hybrid (3 days in office)Employment type: FTExisting vacancy: YesReporting to: Trade Spend ManagerCompensation: $73K+ (CDN)Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting both Finance and Sales through the Trade Promotion process, this role blends both Financial Accounting and Commercial Finance elements supporting the technical and commercial needs of the teamsReview, process and validate discounts, rebates and trade related promotions based on customer agreementsWork with sales to understand ongoing trade activity to ensure trade accruals are complete and accurateUpload Trade spend promotions to the customer promotions management system to ensure discounts are applied in a timely manner to invoices, or included in monthly accruals and reportingPrepare Month End closing entries related to Trade Spend, Shortages and Compliance FeesReconcile trade spend accounts and investigate discrepancies related to deductions received; responsible for the timely update of accruals based on deductions received or pendingPrepare monthly analytical reporting and reconciliations of Trade Spend accruals to ManagementLead the value added post promotional analysis for the business,
to understand effectiveness of spend against trade programs (ROI analysis)Provide recommendations for future promotional activity based on historic findings and learnings using a data-based approachReview and analyze POS data and consumer patterns as related to Trade PromotionsAssist Sales with the Budget and planning processes each Quarter to ensure promotional activity is appropriately planned and capturedConsistent coordination and communication with the Commercial Finance and Sales team through daily interaction, as well as Monthly review meetings, to ensure all promotional activities for the period are captured and accounted for in the financial statements (completeness of Trade Spend), and Balance Sheet accruals are reviewedWork with the Accounts Receivable (“AR”) team to ensure deductions are properly applied to promotion accruals and follow-up with AR Coordinator, Sales Analyst or Sales teams as required to ensure deductions are cleared appropriately on a timely basisAnalysis and tracking of all Deductions, including Trade Deduction as well as Customer logistic claims and related accrualsAssist in monitoring the price mismatch process and ensure pricing variances are resolved within the timeline required, working with Customer Service, OPS, AR, Sales and MarketingAssist with routine claims and chargebacks for both trade and logistics related claimsBack up for Master Data administration of customers and Vendors in Microsoft Dynamics 365Understand and ensure role related policies and procedures are adhered toWork with the Trade Spend Manager to provide process improvements within areas of responsibility and actively participate in new system implementations and upgrades plannedOther role related duties as assignedQualificationsCPA or other related professional designation or working towards completion would be an assetAdvanced level Excel skillsAccounting background and accrual management requiredAbility to meet tight timelines and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with system upgrades and implementationsStrong interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of financial statementsDetail oriented with strong analytical skillsStrong organization skills with the ability to prioritize3 – 5 years of experience within finance with 2 -3 years directly within Trade Spend and Master Data would be an assetConsumer Packaged Goods industry experience would be an assetExperience working with large ERP and/or CRM applications would be an assetHigh level of confidentiality and integrityWhat We OfferWorld class gym, and external basketball courtCompetitive compensation packageEmployee Assistance ProgramCompany RRSP MatchingPaid vacation & 5 personal daysEmployee Engagement EventsProduct & Swag from our industry leading brandsProfessional career developmentOpportunities for Global career exposure without the need to relocate!CultureWe pride ourselves on being collaborative, innovative, and employee-focused.
