Rink Attendants (Seasonal, Casual On-Call)

The Recreation Centre is hiring Rink Attendants to help create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for everyone at the rink this season.

What you’ll be doing:
- Supervising skaters on the ice to help ensure a safe and fun experience
- Greeting guests/groups during skating sessions
- Assisting with tournaments and special event set up/take down
- Helping keep the rink, change rooms, and public areas clean and safe
- Supporting staff with snow and ice removal around the facility
- Promoting safety and encouraging positive sportsmanship
- Other duties as assigned

What we’re looking for:
- Competent skating ability and confidence on the ice
- Friendly, positive attitude,



and great customer service skills
- Ability to work well with the public, including enforcing rules respectfully
- Willingness to take on physical tasks (cleaning, shovelling, etc.)
- Reliable and responsible team player
- First Aid training is an asset

Salary: The 2026 hourly wage rate is $20.40/hr as per the CUPE current collective agreement. This position is a unionized position under CUPE Local 2698. Start Dates: These positions will start throughout September.
