The Compliance Officer role within the Ministry of Treasury Board and Finance requires a proactive approach to market conduct oversight. You will investigate complaints, perform compliance reviews, and monitor adherence to the Care-First framework, playing a crucial role in safeguarding Alberta consumers’ interests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform insurer compliance examinations as per regulatory demands • Identify and escalate compliance concerns with supporting analysis • Address consumer inquiries and financial complaints effectively • Support Medical Assessments and monitor insurance practices • Prepare reports and notices for industry stakeholders
Requirements: • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in financial services • Bachelor’s degree in a related field • Knowledge of the insurance industry and regulatory frameworks • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills • Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently
