This role is based in our Oakville Office and reports to the Team Lead Purchasing.Job SummaryWe are seeking a results‑driven Buyer to support our Oakville manufacturing operations. In this role, you will manage purchasing activities aligned with forecast and budget targets, ensuring the timely and cost‑effective procurement of goods and services. You will play a key role in optimizing inventory, strengthening supplier partnerships, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.Principal ResponsibilitiesManage and optimize inventory levels to ensure material availability while minimizing excess and obsolescenceExecute purchasing activities based on MRP recommendations, forecasts, and budget parametersCreate and release purchase orders for direct and indirect materials, ensuring accuracy and complianceAnalyze demand trends and establish inventory parameters (min/max, EOQ, reorder points)Implement and improve replenishment strategies (e.G., Kanban, VMI, automation initiatives)Monitor supplier performance, manage relationships, and support sourcing initiativesIdentify and drive cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficienciesCollaborate cross‑functionally (Operations, Scheduling, Quality, Engineering, Sales, Planning, Sourcing) to align supply chain activitiesTrack and report on KPIs,
