Community Nursing Registry of Ottawa
Ottawa
JDescription:
The Community Nursing Registry of Ottawa, a not-for-profit serving Ottawa since 1910, is recruiting RNs and RPNs for two types of contract work.
Clinical instruction / preceptorship (RPNs)
Supervise and support nursing students during clinical placements at long-term care homes in Ottawa. We work with local college partners and placements run in blocks throughout the year. We are looking for RPNs available three weeks at a time, on either day (07:00–15:00) or evening (15:00–23:00) shifts, as courses run. Previous preceptor or mentoring experience is an asset.
Community health assessments (RNs and RPNs)
Complete in-home health assessments for prospective current clients across Ottawa. Visits are scheduled on an as-needed basis, so we are looking for nurses with availability on weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Strong assessment and documentation skills required; community or home care experience preferred.
Requirements for both roles
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Recent clinical experience (long-term care, complex continuing care or community preferred)
- Clear vulnerable sector check, current CPR/First Aid and immunization record
- Reliable transportation across Ottawa
Both roles are contract positions through our registry, well suited to nurses looking to supplement existing part-time or casual work. To apply or learn more, contact Mark Savard, Executive Director, at
