We are looking for dependable, motivated people to join our roofing team. We work hard throughout the roofing season, take pride in doing quality work, and build a crew that can rely on one another. In return, we offer something most roofing companies cannot: a different way of living.

Every winter, members of our crew have the opportunity to spend up to two months living off-grid in Baja, Mexico. While most people spend the winter waiting for summer, we go find it.

Our winters can include surfing, spearfishing, kiteboarding, snorkeling, swimming with whale sharks, fishing, water volleyball, beach bonfires and exploring the Baja coastline. It is an opportunity to step away from the ordinary, experience something unforgettable and enjoy the rewards of a roofing season worked hard.

What You Will Be Doing

- Installing, repairing and restoring residential and multi-unit roofing systems
- Removing existing roofing materials and preparing roof surfaces
- Installing asphalt shingles, underlayments, flashings and roof accessories
- Assisting with roof preservation and restoration projects
- Keeping job sites organized, skilled and safe
- Protecting customers’ homes, landscaping and property
- Working closely with the crew to complete projects efficiently and correctly
- Following company installation standards and safety procedures
- Representing The Great Canadian Roof Doctor professionally while on site

What We Are Looking For We are interested in both experienced roofers and motivated people who are serious about learning the trade.

The right person will be:

- Dependable and able to arrive on time
- Comfortable working outdoors and at heights
- Physically capable of performing roofing work




- Willing to work hard and contribute to the crew
- Respectful toward customers, coworkers and company property
- Able to follow instructions and pay attention to details
- Focused on safety and quality workmanship
- Interested in building a long-term position with the company
- Comfortable being part of a close team both at work and during optional winter travel

Roofing or construction experience is an asset, but attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important. A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are preferred.

The Baja opportunity is optional. Travel arrangements, eligibility, costs and specific details will be explained during the interview process so every applicant understands how the winter experience works. Who This Position Is For
