The Travelodge Fort McMurray has 83 rooms, surrounded by dining options, our comfortable hotel off AB-63 is three kilometers from MacKenzie Industrial Park, six kilometers from downtown, and 11 kilometers from Fort McMurray International Airport (YMM).

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and stocking assigned guest rooms.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
- Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
- Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
- Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash.
- Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
- Collect daily task sheet,



sign for room keys, retrieve cart and push to assigned rooms.
- Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance.
- Ensure cleanliness of storage areas, corridors and housekeeping carts. Ensure cart is properly stocked.
- Ensure guest supplies and promotional material in bedrooms and bathrooms are replenished achieving the correct standards for the room type.
- Report lost and found following procedures.
- Understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturer’s instructions.
- Use and clean equipment with care reporting any defective equipment.

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

- Must have the ability to communicate in English.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and manner.
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Lifting may include equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons.

Job Types: Full-time, Part time, Permanent Pay: From $18.50 per hour
